Located in the city of Lake
Oswego, Oregon, the membership takes pride in fostering an atmosphere in which
all members and their families can enjoy various aspects of the club.
Completed in 1924, the course is known as a "shot makers" course. Although not
long by modern standards, the hilly terrain provides for a wide variety of tee
shots and approaches to the greens. Several holes have spectacular views of
neighboring Cascade peaks, including Mount Hood and Mount St. Helens, and the
impeccably maintained fairways are lined with mature Douglas firs and Oregon
maple trees. Despite the fact that the course sits on land with a basalt rock
foundation, years of painstaking care and attention have made Oswego Lake one
of the best conditioned courses in the Northwest. The ageless beauty
of the club house, completed in 1925, offers fine dining and a member's grill
featuring excellent food and a superb wine list. During the summer months,
outdoor swimming and dining are available for enjoying the sun in a relaxing
atmosphere. |
